Jesse Perlstein (ジェシー・ペアルシュタイン)
ニューヨーク出身の作曲家／サウンドパフォーマー／画家。アンビエント/ネオクラシカル・トリオSontag Shogunのメンバーとして世界的に知られ、様々なプロジェクトで精力的に作品をリリースしている。ボーカルのミックスやテープマシンに録音したフィールドレコーディング素材、シンセサイザーやアナログ・プロセッシングを駆使して即興性のある作曲法を展開している。そのパフォーマンスでは、ハーモナイジングされた「声」のループとアンビエントなサウンドスケープを繋ぎ合わせて、うねり鳴り響く音海の中でリズムやメロディが織りなされる。地元ラジオ番組のDJミックス・シリーズでも活躍中。
Jesse Perlstein is a composer/performer from NYC. He uses a mix of vocals, field recordings dubbed-to-tape, synth & analog processing to create experimental compositions bridging ambient soundscapes with looped harmonizing voice, resulting in rhythms and melodies that build, swell and explode. He has released music through various projects, most prominently neo-classical trio Sontag Shogun, on labels based out of the US & Japan.
Haco (ハコ)
ヴォーカリスト、作詞作曲家、エレクトロニクス奏者。80年代に音響芸術を学び、After Dinnerを結成すると共に作品が国際的に評価される。近年、声と有機的なエレクトロニクス手法をむすびつけた独自のパフォーマンスを展開。その透明感のある歌声と音響技術の融合により実験的かつポップ感覚をつめこんだ楽曲で、世界中にファンをもつ。海外の革新的な音楽/アートフェスティバル公演は数知れず。これまでにソロやHoahio等のプロジェクトでCD/レコード発売多数。2017年、通算7枚目ソロアルバムでアンビエント色の濃い『Qoosui』、2021年には『Nova Naturo』が、豪州Someone Good (Room40) より発売され、国内外で絶賛を浴びる。2022年に、8名の国際エレクトロアーティストによるリミックス集『Nova Naturo Remixed』を自らのBandcamp (Mescalina) でリリース。
Haco is a Japanese vocalist, lyricist-composer, electroacoustic performer, and sound artist. She has received recognition internationally as the founder, singer, composer of the legendary avant-pop group, After Dinner (1981-1991) and Hoahio (1997-2002). She has released albums on labels such as ReR Megacorp (UK), Tzadik (US), and Someone Good/Room40 (AUS) among many others. Haco’s work transcends conventional genres and national borders. She became known for repurposing field recordings and environmental sounds to create surreal widescreen compositions and productions. In 2021 her eighth album “Nova Naturo” won critical acclaim from music and art magazines and has been played on numerous radio programs around the world.
